• It is used for the determination of the consistency of freshly mixed concrete, where the maximum size of the aggregate does not exceed 38mm.
• The Apparatus consists of one slump cone with handles and foot pieces.
• The slump cone has internal dimensions 20cm. dia at base 10cm. top dia. and 30cm height. Foot pieces can be fixed to the clamps on the base plate. Motorised:-Carries up to 7 sieves of 20 cm diameter. The shaker is driven by a 1/4 hp. electric motor through a reduction gear. The sieve table does not rotable but is inclined from the vertical axis and the direction changes progressively in the clockwise direction. By removal of a stop-pin fixed to below the table, the shaker can have a rotatory motion. In addition to the gyratory motion of the table, there is an upward and downward movement ensuring that each square cm of the sieve is utilized. The whole gear mechanism runs in an oil bath. Suitable for operation on 230 volts, 50 cycles, single phase, AC supply- Supplied without sieves, lid and receiver and time switch. Thetest is particularly useful for concrete mixes of very low work ability where true slump valuesare not reliable. Specifications: It consists of two rigid conical hoppers and a cylindermounted on a rigid metal frame. The lower openings of the hoppers are fitted with hingedtrapdoors having quick release catches. A circular metal plate is provided to cover the top ofthe cylinder. Supplied complete with one plasterer’s trowel and one tamping rod, 16mmdiax600 mm long, one end rounded.
